UNIT 13 CLEAN UP & GIG INFO
You all know that we got flooded, well it's all dry and we are now ready to clean up. So this Sunday 31st from 10am we have a clean up operation. If you would like to help out please get on down and arm yourself with brooms and the like. If you have a drill or any tools please bring them as some remodeling will be taking place and hopefully things will be even better than they were. There will be a BBQ on and everyone that helps out will get a free session pass when we are back open.
This Saturday Ireland's Number 1 BMX demo team will be giving it stacks at Cotton Court in the City. This venue is right out front of the Pothouse Bar and Grill and the action starts at 4.00pm with demos every hour or so. Come supports the guys and have the chance to win great prizes and giveaways. there will be a party afterwards in the Pothouse for all those who are old enough to get in. Feel free to bring the kids as there are great restaurants and cafes in the area anyhow. Should be a great day weather permitting and just another opportunity to bring urban sports to the masses.
On the weekend just gone 23rd and 24th we had the Newtownabbey summer scheme at Loughshore Park Newtownabbey. It was a little wet on the Saturday but Sunday was fair and we got the opportunity to introduce skateboarding to a whole new set of youngsters. Big thanks to all that helped out. Say tuned for news of a council meeting as we try and get Newtownabbey there own piece of action.

This weekend get yourself down to Unit 13 skate park for the BMX OLD SCHOOL event. There will be plenty of chrome from yester year on display and a BBQ. Weather is looking good so it should be a great family day out.
Or perhaps you are into skateboarding then Limerick Skatepark is where you should be heading for the Irish Skateboarder of the year, brought to you by the WIZARD magazine, Ireland's word on skateboarding.
Team BUS
10-08-08
Hello to everyone on this fine Sunday. Team BUS have been flat out again delivering shows and summer schemes for all the potential future urban sports stars. On Wednesday we were at Barnetts Demense next to Malone House as part of the Belfast City Councils Summer Scheme. There was about 500 kids aged 5 to 12 going absolutely crazy in the rain. BUS supplied the tunes and some skateboards for them to try out. The day was a great success and just by being there means we ticked another essential box in the struggle for permanent facilities.
Again in the fashion of Summer Schemes and ticking boxes we have are open all this week from 10am -4pm as part of the Lisburn City Council Scheme. the cost for a weeks pass is £30 and it not only gets you in but you get the chance to win great prizes. So get on down all you kids with nothing to do this week for a week of fun and urban sports.

Hey all we are back again, I guess this really means a blog now we are doing it again!
Team BUS has had probably the most crazy month yet with some huge events and full-on action. The Blade Jam went down really well with plenty of bladers coming up from the south to enjoy the hospitality. Congratulations to Scoey and the boys for putting on a super show and welcome to the team!!!
Oxegen was a blast with Europe's biggest vert ramp on display courtesy of Red Bull. Big up to Marc Beggins (is that spelt right?) from Belfast who got the opportunity to have a blast with help from the pro's.
I do think I saw the Pope' master from BUS laying some smooth runs down the beast as well. All good.
The future of Unit 13 is balancing delicately in the hands of the GODS. I sense a mass protest to protect the homelands, we will keep you posted in the meantime sign up and we can keep you posted. Tell your buddies too as we well might need an army to sort it out...
Take when you get it...
Team BUS.

Hi everyone welcome to the Team BUS blog of sorts, we figure we should start talking to you all considering we are getting ever closer to the goal of a permanent skate park. That’s right we are in the final stages of our endeavour to secure Lottery Funding for park down town. We’ll definitely keep you posted so stayed tuned for exciting news over the next few weeks. Filling out the joins us section would be a great start so we can contact you direct with our news.
On the gig front we have the first Blade jam at Unit 13 this weekend, so even if you don’t blade get on down and support the crew. Check the events section for the details.
Big thanks to all those that helped out on the weekend, the Maritime was hard graft but we got through.
As for the mini ramp! Any one wants a sausage and a bit bread? If so then come down this Friday night for the official launch of the modular mini ramp. It seemed to go down well at Newborn Fest and will be making appearances again next month.
Take it easy
